A story fromthe Buddhist tradition
If you were a jackal, would you help a lion who was stuck in the mud, and might decide to eat you after it was freed? This story, drawing on both Buddhist tradition and western culture, teaches that friendship is built on trust and generosity.
We originally published it in "The Monkey King", with two other stories. Here it stands alone in a smaller, low-priced edition.
